(Claim – Reason) "本题为两道老GRE的ISSUE题目综合——ISSUE101 ""Governments should provide funding for artists so that the arts can flourish and be bachelor to all people""和ISSUE85 ""Government funding of the arts threatens the integrity of the arts"".

Some people believe that authorities funding of the arts is necessary to ensure that the arts tin flourish and be available to all people. Others believe that authorities funding of the arts threatens the integrity of the arts.
Art plays an important part in modern society. Past appreciating art, people could gain happiness and sympathize their cultures more. To better new kinds of art, money and other resource are needed. So, someone believes that authorities should requite funding to arts to ensure that the arts tin can flourish and be available to all people. Notwithstanding, others believe that government funding of the arts threatens the integrity of the arts, and I have similar views.
Admittedly, government funding of fine art could be helpful. Numerous monuments and statures were completed with the money given by governments. Artists have skillful ideas but often lack resources. If governments could help them, their dreams might come true much more easily.
Yet, it is highly possible that government funding of arts is biased. Some kind of arts are welcomed by the regime while others not. But, what the regime favors may not be enjoyed by public. During the cultural revolution in China in 1960s, many different kinds of arts which propagated Chairman Mao were funded and the authority liked them very much. Nonetheless, traditional arts which were esteemed every bit masterpieces were spoiled during that fourth dimension. The regime funding of fine art turned out to be a severe interference to the arts at that time.
In addition, as pointed out in the issue, the integrity of the arts could be threatened past regime funding. For case, in Beijing many new fine art museums were built in the by five years and new exhibitions were held. But when I entered these museums, I saw similar forms of arts which even seemed to be created by the aforementioned one. The pictures were full of beautiful colors but lack thoughts and were away from nature. Many artists who were extremely prolific regarded art as a way to earn money instead of appreciating the beauty of nature. By contrast, in a special commune called "798" in Beijing, the arts are flourished vastly. It used to exist a factory and was abased nigh 10 years agone. No one lived there and information technology was non supervised past the government. But this surface area has two important features for the arts to flourish: liberty and serenity. More and more artists showed interest on 798. Today, it became the center of fine art in Beijing.Notwithstanding until at present, the regime hasn't give ane yuan to those artists.
Though government funding of fine art is productive on some occasions, and some artists may benefit numerously by government funding, governments have other ways to help the arts. To sum upward, the advantages of doing so are less than the disadvantages. So I believe that government funding of fine art is not a skillful selection.
